Our Mission
The mission of Amplifying Potential Therapy is to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities across the life span through personalized, interdisciplinary therapeutic services. We are dedicated to supporting clients of all communication styles and physical abilities—whether they use verbal speech, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), or other modalities—by presuming competence, encouraging autonomy, and fostering meaningful engagement in daily life. Our practice serves as a Midwest support network not only for AAC users and their families but also for those seeking therapeutic support for speech, language, social, sensory, motor, vision, and functional needs. We are committed to locating, training, and nurturing therapists who share our passion for empowering individuals through neurodiversity-affirming practices.
We support a wide range of diagnoses through our services. Our team works with individuals with autism, apraxia, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other motor and communication challenges. We specialize in supporting nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals using a neurodiversity-affirming approach. We also work with clients who have language delays and disorders, speech sound (articulation) disorders, social communication differences, and conditions like Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and genetic syndromes that impact communication. Our goal is to honor each individual's strengths while building the tools they need to connect, express, and thrive.
